John W. Nappi, Jr. (1950-1985)

spent his childhood in Syreville, NJ where he began art lessons and completed his first oil painting at the age of 7. After graduating from Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, NJ, he attended Fairfield University, where he received a degree in English, with a minor in Art History.

For a brief time in the mid-70's he maintained a small studio in Fair-Haven, NJ, where he offered classes to young artists and began to develop his personal style. But it wasn't until he relocated to New York City that he began to flourish, working in restaurants and doing free-lance graphic design work to pay the bills and using his limited free time to hone his skills as a painter. His brother, James A. Nappi, is a Seton Hall Law School graduate and a New Jersey attorney.

Filomena DiLeo

is a native Trentonian. She has been painting the better part of 30 years and spent 25 of those years studying under Elizabeth Ruggles. She has exhibited her work at the Woodmere Gallery in Chestnut Hill, PA., Coryell Gallery in Lambertville, McCarter Theater in Princeton and TriCounty Arts Associates in Cranbury, NJ. Filomena is the mother of Thomas DiLeo, the US District Court's Director of IT.

Sharon Thompson

is a Trenton native who studied art at Princeton Day School, Groton School and Wellesley College. She did a summer of studio art in Florence, Italy. She presently teaches at St. Luke's School in New Your City. Sharon is the daughter of Judge Anne E. Thompson.

Maria Cristiano Anderson

enjoys working with a variety of mediums and has crated a number of works using colored chalk on paper, watercolor, ceramics and textiles. Maria's work has been exhibited in shows at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and at Montclair State University. She has studied art at Parsons School of Design and the New School in New York City, and Montclair State University. Maria has practiced commercial and insurance litigation, real estate development and appellate law in New York and New Jersey. She is currently counsel to Montclair State University.

Don A. Robinson

pen and ink drawings are his effort to express the need for orderliness, for a rebirth of innocent forms in a chaotic world. They were drawn during the many meetings and court appearances attended by this dean of federal litigators. They hang on the office walls of government officials, judges, lawyers and Don's friends from a career as a media lawyer and commercial litigator. Don is a partnet at Robinson, Wettre & Miller, LLC in Newark and a member of the Board of NJPAC. he is Chairman of the Board of the US District Court Historical Society.

Anna Lascurain

also known as "Outsider Annie", is a government lawyer at the Attorney General's Office, who resides at the Jersey shore. Her specialty is primitive art and she is the publisher of "Darker Intentions Press".

Daniel A. Belardinelli

Daniel A. Belardinelli an "outsider artist" also known as "self-taught", has been painting for 20 years and is represented by a number of galleries in the States and Europe. He has been showing art in the Outsider Art Fair in NYC since 1997 and showed his works at the first European outsider art fair in Vienna this May. Rita Elkins

lives in Comville, AZ. She's won "Best of Show" awards in pastel and is a signature member of the Arizona Pastel Artists Association and the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society, occasionally teaching in those mediums. She is represented by Manheim Gallery in Cottonwood, AZ and is a regular contributor to the Sedona Art Center Gallery. Rita's daughter, Melissa Rhoads, is the Quality Control Manager for the U.S. District Court.

Melvyn Bergstein

is a partner in the firm ofWalder, Hayden & Brogan, P.A. ofRoseland, NJ. He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney and practices primarily complex commercial and employment litigation. In addition, he is a member of the Editorial Board of the New Jersey Law Journal and a past president of the Essex County Bar Association. He photographs extensively while traveling in various parts of the world.

Ann Dello Iacono

currently works for Judge Anne E. Thompson at the U.S. District Court, she enjoys taking art courses at her local community college.

Nancy C. Juliano (1940-2008)

Nancy C. Juliano (1940-2008) wife to Al Juliano, Court Security Officer and friend to the court family. Painting was her passion, displayed is one of her first paintings. She was a member of the Painters Guild of Toms River, NJ.

J. Carlos Vargas

recently obtained his Associate Degree in Visual Arts from Mercer County Community College. Carlos' sister-in-law, Nancy Figueroa, is the Assistant Deputy-in-Charge for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Gregory R. Haworth

is partner with the firm of Duane Morris LLP in the Newark office specializing in commercial and business litigation. His photos have been exhibited in group show at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, Watchung Art Center and the Lawyers for the Arts exhibitions.

Charles Hollenbeck

has studied with Ty Hodanish at his gallery at the Prallsville Mill in Stockton, and is otherwise self-taught. Charles was admitted to the bar in 1975 and works for the New Jersey State Bar Association. He currently serves as Executive Director of the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law. He is a graduate of Seton Hall School of Law and St. Peter's College.

Steven M. Richman

a graduate of New York University Law School, he practices international and commercial law in Princeton. His legal activities include being former member of the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey State Bar Association, present secretary of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, and former chair of the Editorial Board of American Bar Association. Steven has been an active photographer and a member of the Raritan Photography Club. He was appointed by the Governor of New Jersey as a member of the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey State Museum.
